Well here is my first program for the Zyxel and Wildcat and Docs.
Please bear with me....
This program will let you have a wake up service off your BBS using the Zyxel
ZFAX program. I chose to call it Wildcat and ZyXEL for the simple reason
that's the BBS software I use and love it.
A What?.... I said it's A wake up service. You know... Call someone in the wee hours of the morning and deliver a voice message.
This Program is not Public Domain, it is ShareWare. Feel free to make copies
and pass around..
Registration for this program if used for more than 60 days is only $15.00.
For your $15.00 you will get the enjoyment of using this program
and the next major release free.
Setup:
** Place all the files that were just unzipped into the subdirectory
that has your Zfax program.
1... First thing, get the program "Zfax" working that came with your modem.
a. Make a recording for each wakeup time that you will offer
and name them as below.
wkup0500.zvd...wkup0530.zvd, etc...(You may need a program called Voiceman to do this).
The filenames must be just like above with the time in 24 hour format and placed in the Zfax program directory.
b. Edit the CONFIG.DAT file.
This File should have only one line in it. The Path to your
Zfax Program.
2... Run this program by typing WCWAKEUP and hit your enter/return key.
Now all you have to do is add the people you want to call and
their phone numbers and the time. " MUST BE IN 24 HOUR FORMAT "
When done, exit the program by pressing Q.
3... In your BBS/FrontDoor, setup external events to call a batch file or whatever you need to do to run the program at the times needed using the command line below.
WCWAKEUP wkup0500 call
^ ^> tell program to use the call routine
^
^>>>>the list of names and phone numbers
for the time of the event
That's it.....
Here is a list of the files you should have and their sizes:
WCWAKEUP DOC .....this file
WAKEUP2 OVL .....screen overlay
WCWAKEUP OVL .....
WKUPINP OVL .....
WKUPMAIN OVL .....
WCWAKEUP EXE ..... the main program
CONFIG DAT ..... config file; path to Zfax
A door interface is in the works so users on your bbs can update/enter the
time/name/number they want to be awaken.
Wildcat and ZyXEL are Copyright by there respectful owners.
